Film buffs and visitors with a particular interest in Hong Kong movies should make a beeline for the Hong Kong Film Archive. Here you'll find four floors dedicated to film storage and preservation, exhibitions and screenings of old Hong Kong classics and films from around the world. Of particular interest to film fans is the third floor Resource Centre which houses voluminous books, magazines, newspapers and audio-visual materials, much of which visitors can spend many happy hours browsing through.

Thanks to the support of filmmakers, film companies and movie buffs from around the world, the Archive is sharing its impressive collection with the public, so that the heritage of Hong Kong cinema can be preserved and appreciated.

香港電影資料館樓高四層，成立的目的，是為了保存珍貴的電影拷貝、相關的影音資料及電影書刊等，並且定期舉辦電影專題回顧、展覽，以及播放古今中外的經典電影。


館內設有電影院、展覽廳和資源中心。位於資料館三樓的資源中心，內有視聽資料、參考書籍、報刊、雜誌、文獻、以及電影書刊，供電影愛好者和研究者閱覽。


資料館藏品豐富，全賴全球製片人、電影公司及電影迷慷慨捐贈，讓旅客及民眾有機會分享及重溫昔日珍貴的電影片段，也使香港的電影文化事業得以延續。
