Relive the epoch-making achievements of revolutionary pioneer Dr Sun Yat-sen who is renowned for transforming China from a monarchy to a republic. The revolutionary ideologies of Dr Sun Yat-sen were shaped while he was receiving his early education in Hong Kong and the city served as his base for 18 years prior to the founding of the Chinese Republic in 1912.

This museum is located in the 2,560 square-metre, four-storey Kom Tong Hall, an early 20th century building that has been faithfully restored to its original majestic appearance. Inside is a fascinating showcase of Dr Sun's accomplishments including exhibition galleries covering his life history and his close relationship with Hong Kong. The exhibits bring alive the revolutionary spirit of Dr Sun. Visitors can gain other insights by visiting the reading room, video room and an interactive room.

After a visit to the museum, further insights into the life of this amazing man can be gleaned by following the Dr Sun Yat-sen Historical Trail. It includes landmarks in his life during his stay in Hong Kong. Information plaques along the way facilitate your exploration into the life of the man who was proclaimed Provisional President of the Republic of China in 1912.

Note: Visitors are advised that parts of the trail are narrow and steep, so wear appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes, and use sun block if needed.

Sun and public holidays: 10am - 7pm.
Closed on Thur (except public holidays) and the first two days of Chinese New Year.

如何前往孫中山紀念館
港鐵中環站D2出口，沿皇后大道中走，乘中環至半山自動扶梯，到達堅道後轉右，向西面步行約5分鐘。

孫中山紀念館重現了偉大革命家孫中山先生，帶領中國由帝制走向共和的劃時代貢獻。


孫中山先生的革命思想孕育於他在香港求學的時期，在1912年成立中華民國以前，孫中山先生曾以香港作為革命根據地有18年之久。


孫中山紀念館設於樓高四層的甘棠第。甘棠第是中西區現存有數的二十世紀初建築物，裝修瑰麗堂皇，至今完好地保存了當時的建築風格。紀念館設有兩個常設展廳，分別舉行「孫中山與近代中國」及「孫中山時期的香港」等展覽，展示孫中山先生的生平事蹟及這位偉人與香港的密切關係。「孫中山與近代中國」展廳現正舉行「時代的符號 ─ 中山陵1929.6.1」 至2010年3月31日。透過館藏及外借的珍貴歷史文物，讓您全面瞭解孫先生的生平事跡。您還可以到訪閱覽室、視像室、互動學習室等，自由發掘其他資料。


參觀紀念館後，您還可以沿着孫中山史蹟徑，漫遊孫中山先生在香港的主要活動地點，緬懷國父的生平事跡。 史蹟徑沿途每個點皆設有指示牌，讓您可按圖索驥，追思這位於1912年就任為中華民國臨時大總統的偉大革命家的生平。



註： 孫中山史蹟徑的部分路段較為狹窄及陡斜，遊人宜穿着合適的服裝及鞋履，以及作好防曬準備。

How To Get There
Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum
MTR Central Station Exit D2, walk along Queen's Road Central to the Mid-Levels Escalator from Central to Caine Road, turn right and walk westwards along the pavement for around 5 minutes.
